Student logo competition

Note: due to numerous requests the deadline has been extended to February 21

We need a logo for the OzCHI 2017 Conference! Here is a great opportunity for a gifted student to propose an original logo for OzCHI and win a free student registration to OzCHI 2017 in Brisbane, Australia.

Content Requirements:

The theme for the conference is human-nature so your proposed logo should reflect our aim to

  • understand and elicit our better human nature
  • foster human engagement with nature

Consider that the logo will be included on the conference website, printed material, and possibly other goodies such as commemorative t-shirts, so it must look great in all possible versions, including monochrome.

You may also want to browse the past OzCHI conference sites to have a sense of the look and feel of OzCHI, and recent logos (see some examples on our main page).

Technical Requirements:

Provide the logo in a few different colourways:

  • A black and white version
  • A monochrome version
  • Versions in several different colours (see this example)

Provide submission in two file formats:

  • A PNG file
  • A vector format, such as an Illustrator file

Judging

Your logo will be judged based on how well it conveys the conference theme, how it continues without replicating the established OzCHI style and image, as well as on its originality and visual appeal. Your entry will be judged by a panel comprised of members of the conference committee.

The winner will receive a standard student registration to the full conference (NOTE: the prize does not cover travel, accommodation, or any other additional extras).

Eligibility: You must be a student to participate

Submission: To participate, email your proposed logo to Jennyfer Taylor. The due date has been extended to 21 February
