OZCHI homepage

As we start to embrace the wired world, " Citizens Online: Considerations for today and the future " will explore issues of how we interact with Government services, commercial organisations, intelligent systems, and each other.

It will reveal tools and techniques that help us deliver a better user experience, relate ways in which useful methods have been applied, and investigate new directions in computer-human interaction research.

registration details

To register for OZCHI 2005, we prefer you to use the online facility, which allows you to either book and pay in full for the workshops and tutorials, the conference itself (which includes dinner for FULL registrations), extra dinner tickets and accommodation – or simply book and request a tax invoice on which to pay. Either way you will be "registered" on our database and followed up to ensure all your requirements are met.

IF YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR ORIGINAL BOOKING, OR ADD ACCOMMODATION: Go to www.conferenceonline.com and enter your booking number (e.g. B12345) and the password you nominated when you registered and UPDATE your details - You don't have to enter all your base data again.

If for some reason you would prefer to download a form and pay by fax, or posting a cheque, you may do so by downloading the PDF registration form and completing all details, then returning it to the OZCHI Conference Secretariat.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at pco@ozchi.org.

VISA information

Most overseas delegates who wish to attend OZCHI 2005 will require a visa to enter the country – don’t leave home without it! We recommend that you apply to the Australian High Commission in your Country for an Australian visa; namely ‘the subclass 456 Business (Short Stay) Visitor Visa’ which should allow you to stay in Australia for 10 working days. If you have a partner who will accompany you, they will need a holiday visa, again please apply to the Australian High Commission in your Country.

If you need a letter of introduction or invitation to attend the conference, please contact the Secretariat and we can email a suitable letter to you.
