The Doctoral Consortium is a day-long event being held on Tuesday 9 December just before the main OZCHI 2008 conference. The DC provides a friendly forum for people working on PhD's in the broad area of human-computer interaction. Participants will present and discuss each others work with input from experienced researchers. With ten PhD students taking part, an exciting variety of topics and perspectives will be explored. At OZCHI 2008 we are delighted to have Professor Paul Dourish (University of California) as one of our responders. Also taking part are the two co-chairs of the DC, Prof. Margot Brereton (Queensland University of Technology) and Dr Wally Smith (University of Melbourne).
