Doctoral Consortium

Consortium Event: Tuesday 29th November 2016

The OzCHI Doctoral Consortium offers PhD students the opportunity to present their research plans, and discuss them with peers and senior researchers in a supportive and constructive environment. The consortium in 2016 is a half-day event held on the 29th November, 2016.

PhD candidates wishing to attend the consortium should submit a research proposal that provides a concrete outline of the research, is based on established literature, describes a clear method of inquiry, and presents early data if available. Positions at the consortium will be offered based on a review of the submitted proposals.

There is no fee to attend the consortium, however you must register for at least one day of the OzCHI conference (30th Nov, 1st Dec, 2nd Dec). The doctoral consortium includes catering (morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea). It is arranged by HCI academics as a service to support our doctoral student community and the research discipline. As we consider this a very important event, each year we invite and support one or two of our keynote speakers to act as responders.

Submissions should be in PDF format (see submission template below) and emailed directly to the doctoral consortium chairs at dc.chair@ozchi.org.
